TODAY’S MESSAGE DAILY DEVOTION

SERIES: THE UNSHAKEABLE FAITH.

And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith? – Mark 4:37-40

And what then is faith? Faith is the substance of things hope for the evidence of things not seen. Hebrew 11:1.

Now faith ranges in levels but the one we will be touching today is the unshakeable faith. It is important to have faith but can the faith pass the test of time. Can the faith generate stamina in the midst of storm.

We have taught and talk about faith over the years but many few talks about the unshakeable faith. And a practical example was the anchor scripture above. A scripture that paints a clearer picture of how you can be peaceful while experience difficulty. And something baffled me so much with those verses above. Because while others who didn’t have the answer were struggling, the one with the right answer was sleeping. And them being with Christ shows they knew a little more on faith. And when Jesus arose he said why are you afraid because you have no faith. So a shakeable faith equals no faith.

Have seen devoted Christians who claim to have faith but yet still panic in the midst of battle. The unshakeable faith is not desperate, the unshakeable faith is always optimistic waiting and believing for the performance of God’s word.

Let me conclude by saying; the unshakeable faith will always deliver as far as you are on key with it. If you want to be at rest try to build your faith to the unshakeable level. Remember it is one thing to believe in God and it is another to stay believing which also exemplify the unshakeable faith after the order of Abraham. Romans 4:18. Shalom
